In my search for amazing videographers (that post to follow - hopefully this weekend)... I was introduced to Lomography. Go here to learn more about the overall art-form of lomography. When I found these pictures shot by Jason Magbanua (he is a videographer- these are just for fun)... I fell in love with the artistic quality of the pictures. The overall concept of lomography is "Don't think. Just shoot"... claiming that this is for EVERYONE- and especially those without photography backgrounds...
I've received so much wonderful feedback from so many brides regarding the photographers that I often showcase here. Many times, these emails state something to the effect that the bride really loves and admires the photos but is a bit weary about putting all of her wedding photos in such an artistic basket... thus, the lomo camera is a wonderful alternative.... the inexpensive cameras can be purchased in bulk and set on tables (taking the place of the same-old throw aways)... (available here, here, and here)... imagine how lovely the wedding will be through the lense of such artistic effects - and you will still have your traditional photography to fall back on...
(if anyone should decide to go this route, you will HAVE to let me know how it goes! I plan to purchase one this week and use it on a few upcomming events. I will keep you posted.)

i love this idea! i've seen so many great lomo-pics on flickr but never thought of using the cameras for a wedding. thanks!
I love that your post always engage brides to think out of the box. Your idea is perfect because it allows brides to use a variety of photo techniques to capture their wedding day. Plus I just want one of these for myself :) I've got my eye on the one featured at Urban Outfitters.
