Brocade on a Budget...

As a loyal Domino reader, I tear open the pages each month in search of my three favorite articles...
1. The segment where a member of the staff will convey their style through a series of tangible objects that are on the market
2. The page where a room is born from an inspiring ensamble, picture, flower arrangement, etc

3. The small side bar where a really cool item is found in either a hotel or the side of the street or in a building, and then the staff member will hunt it down and tell you where to locate it....
I do believe that I will stay true to my roots and incorporate each of these into my blog with respect to events and weddings. I will try to do a weekly post on each..... As I began to try to decide which I would start with, they all sort of fused together and this is what I came up with (I promise that next time will be more focused)
The following are layouts from Brocade Home (one of my favorite catalogs of all time- they really are design porn!).... Just as soon as I am off the rental market, I hope that my home will look exactly like these photos... and since I am being taken off the market, I really would love for my own wedding to embody the same look

As much as I LOVE Brocade- my wedding budget would never allow me to splurge on that level... thus the following finds are splendid substitutes...

These little numbers are from Suite 206 in Dallas... a chic rental company- you MUST give them a looksie if you are in the area. From custom banquets to Kartell pieces, this has to be the most fabulous source for a modern French aesthetic....
These lighting options are from Urban Outfitters, and would add to the ambiance, be them hanging from branches or strung from the peak of a tent... either way it will be a cost-effective way to carry out this "look"

Loving these cakes to polish off the Modern French Affair... enjoy

You might want to check out the chandeliers & candle accessories at http://ekats.safeshopper.com/642/cat642.htm. I've not yet ordered from them, but you can't beat the prices.
