As a loyal Domino reader, I tear open the pages each month in search of my three favorite articles...
1. The segment where a member of the staff will convey their style through a series of tangible objects that are on the market
2. The page where a room is born from an inspiring ensamble, picture, flower arrangement, etc
3. The small side bar where a really cool item is found in either a hotel or the side of the street or in a building, and then the staff member will hunt it down and tell you where to locate it....
I do believe that I will stay true to my roots and incorporate each of these into my blog with respect to events and weddings. I will try to do a weekly post on each..... As I began to try to decide which I would start with, they all sort of fused together and this is what I came up with (I promise that next time will be more focused)
The following are layouts from Brocade Home (one of my favorite catalogs of all time- they really are design porn!).... Just as soon as I am off the rental market, I hope that my home will look exactly like these photos... and since I am being taken off the market, I really would love for my own wedding to embody the same look
These lighting options are from Urban Outfitters, and would add to the ambiance, be them hanging from branches or strung from the peak of a tent... either way it will be a cost-effective way to carry out this "look"
Inspiration is one of those funny little things in life that show up in the oddest of places. My fiance is a big fan of Arizona Tea... from the obnoxious sized can... our typical routine when we are traveling (even if it is just down the road) is that he is the designated gas-pumper and beverage purchaser... and I am the designated passenger that handles all of my email and voicemail checking/work-related items before we reach our destination (it's a sickness)... well today while I was going around doing errands for an upcomming wedding, I realized that I needed to gas and I was running low on my latte- no starbucks in sight, I bit the bullet and went in to pay (something that seemed a bit primative I must admit)... and to my suprise, I was taken aback by none other than an Arizona Green Tea Label... I bought it- and it was delicious- but more... it was a source of this board... hooray for life's subtle hints...
As much as I LOVE Brocade- my wedding budget would never allow me to splurge on that level... thus the following finds are splendid substitutes...
